I drive for Uber and Lyft and people ask me if it’s a law to buckle up. My response is that “you lock your doors to your home, car, and public bathroom stall and you don’t need a law to remind you.”

This is exactly how Princess Diana and the driver Dodi Fayed died in Pont de l’Alma tunnel.
Had she been wearing a seat belt in the back she would likely have survived the crash and be with us today.
Buckle up for your own safety sake.

I have rode in many cars and I find the front seats usually are very easy to buckle but in the back seats the design is different and it’s much harder to buckle up, this could be one reason people don’t buckle in the back set of many types of vehicle’s. “Engineer’s Back seat buckles are hard for little and big hands to grasp and click into place. Most aren’t made like driver-seat buckles.” Solve this and watch the use rise.
