Awesome! All this bad news could not be happening to a more deserving company!

Now would be a great time to dispute any late payment history, settled or charged-off accounts you have with MBNA or Bank of America that remain as derogatory trade lines on your credit reports with any of the 3 major credit bureaus. They do not have the necessary resources to respond to inquiries, particularly if they don’t stand to gain any revenue on it. They are currently struggling to survive, cutting jobs… literally by the tens of thousands. Their lowest priority is to spend resources on disputes they cannot cash in on. If you dispute their negative trade lines with TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian, and then Bank of America does not respond within 30 days, the negative trade line will be deleted from your credit report forever. Everyone should unite and overwhelm them with disputes and clean up your credit/raise your FICO score, qualify for more credit, get lower interest rates, put more money in your pockets.

It’s easy to to and you can do it by mail, on the phone, or on-line. The more people who join in on this effort, the more difficult it will be for Bank of America to keep up with the deluge of disputes.
