Caption on back reads: "First co-ed to wear the eagle war-bonnet of Illiniwek is Idelle Stith, Fairfax, Okla., an authentic Osage Indian princess. The part of Illiniwek was introduced into between-halves pagentry at Illinois home football games in 1926. Six men have worn the costume representing the University's traditions. Miss Stith, Illiniwek VII, is the first co-ed."
