Illinois Freight Company Cited for Repeated Safety Violations

An Elk Grove, Ill.-based freight company was hit with $64,000 in proposed penalties by federal regulators for repeated, serious violations of workplace safety rules.  The company, Ceva Freight, was fined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for failing to report worker injuries – a widespread problem in U.S. workplaces – for failing to take unsafe trucks off the road and for missed inspections.
