Federal Workplace Safety Violations More Than Doubled in 2009

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration found 336 violations at high hazard federal work sites in 2009 — more than double the number found in 2008. The jump in citations underscores the need to target federal agency job sites as well as private workplaces, which are its main focus, OSHA said Thursday.

OSHA inspected 59 federal sites in the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2009, for safety and health violations. The sites were chosen from workplaces reporting the most on-the-job injuries in the previous year.

I would love to have someone do a walkthrough at my place of employment. How can one get that accomplished. I work in a sloppy, disorganized, dangerous area of our store and trip and fall a lot over these issues.
