Honda Recalls 410,000 Minivans, Wagons For Brake Problem

Citing customer complaints of “soft” brakes, Honda Motor Company issued a recall today for more than 410,000 Odessey minivans and Element wagons built in 2007-2008.

From the recall notice:

Honda has received customer complaints of brake pedals that feel “soft” or that gradually exhibit a pedal height that gets lower (closer to the floor) before the vehicle stops. In affected vehicles, this condition tends to very slowly increase over time.”

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported three crashes related to the problem that resulted in minor injuries, a Honda spokesman told the Associated Press.
